Come out and get loud for the Apaches this week!

🏐🖤💛 Look at this fun new swag Coach Stabler picked out for the PHS volleyball team!
Seriously, though...who does a person need to know to get one of those sweatshirts? 👀 Asking for a friend. 😂
Our Lady Apaches have spent the last few weeks doing more than preparing their serves, sets, and hits. They've been building the kind of team culture that matters when the season gets tough—setting goals, spending time together, encouraging one another, and even showing off their crafty sides with some pretty impressive keyrings!
🏐LET'S GO, LADY APACHES! 📣
We can't wait to cheer you on this season!

See you on Wednesday morning, friends!

Shout out to Mrs. Vaught and Mr. Dewey, the best ag teachers in the state! With a little help from their FFA friends, these two prepared a delicious breakfast for PHS faculty and staff this morning. Nothing says “welcome back” quite like pancakes, sausage, and—most importantly—a little bacon! Thanks for feeding the Tribe and starting our week off right! 🥓💛🖤

📊🎉 Congratulations to Mrs. Sullivan and her AP Statistics students on an outstanding first year!
Teaching AP Statistics at PHS for the very first time, Mrs. Sullivan guided her students through one of the most practical and applicable math courses offered. Out of the seven students who took the AP Exam, five earned a qualifying score of 3 or higher—an impressive 71.4% pass rate! 🖤💛
Statistics is much more than numbers on a page. Students learn how to collect, interpret, and analyze data, think critically, and make informed decisions using evidence—skills that are valuable in nearly every college major and career field. Through Mrs. Sullivan's instruction, these students gained knowledge that will benefit them far beyond high school.
The exciting news doesn't stop there! This year, Mrs. Sullivan is partnering with UACCM to offer Quantitative Literacy on the PHS campus. This concurrent-credit course allows students to earn three hours of college credit while receiving the support and guidance of one of our outstanding teachers.
Congratulations to Mrs. Sullivan and her students for an exceptional first year in AP Statistics! Thank you for helping prepare our Apaches for success in college, careers, and beyond. Great work, Tribe! 📈✨

📚✨ Mrs. Tanner wears many hats at Pottsville High School…and somehow manages to excel in every one of them!
As the head of the English Department, Mrs. Tanner teaches AP Literature while also inspiring one section of tenth-grade English students. This year, her AP Literature students achieved outstanding results, with 11 of 16 students (68.8%) earning a qualifying score of 3 or higher on the AP Exam. What an incredible accomplishment! 🎉
The success didn’t stop there. Mrs. Tanner’s sophomore English students also posted remarkable ATLAS results this spring, with 100% of her students earning a Level 3 or Level 4. That means every single student demonstrated proficiency at or above grade level—a testament to their hard work and Mrs. Tanner’s exceptional instruction.
And yes…this former Disney princess (literally!) and proud Pottsville graduate continues to bring a little magic to our campus every day. 👑✨
Congratulations to Mrs. Tanner and her incredible students! Thank you for making PHS a place where high expectations, hard work, and a love of learning continue to thrive. 🖤💛

📖 Yay, Mr. Dodson!
Here's another AP success story worth celebrating! This year, 100% of Mr. Dodson's AP United States History students earned a qualifying score on the AP Exam. What an incredible accomplishment! 🎉
APUSH is one of the most demanding courses a student can take, covering the story of our nation from its earliest beginnings to the present day. Success requires extensive reading, analytical writing, critical thinking, and the ability to connect historical events across centuries. It's challenging work—but Mr. Dodson and his students were more than up for the task.
Congratulations to Mr. Dodson and his APUSH students on an exceptional year! Thank you for proving that hard work, determination, and a passion for learning continue to thrive at Pottsville High School. 🖤💛
