🧠 From Play-Doh to Deep Thinking! Our Personal Communication students studied Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and the inspiring story "Homeless to Harvard."
Using Play-Doh, they created mini sculptures to represent core themes from the article. Next week, they’ll present their creations and share how they connect to Maslow's theory! 🎙️🎨

Madi Kellar is an important part of our Tribe—and Mr. Hardaway caught her proving exactly why! After a recent game, Madi stayed behind to clean up trash left in the student section by her classmates. 🗑️👏No one asked her. It wasn’t her mess. She simply saw something that needed to be done and took care of it.

Dakota Reynolds has a servant’s heart, and he demonstrated it once again when he noticed that Mrs. Flemmons’s trash needed to be taken out—and simply took care of it.
Mrs. Flemmons presented Dakota with a Caught Being Good button and even talked him into posing for a picture. 😂📸 The best part? This isn’t unusual for Dakota. He’s the kind of student who does good on a daily basis, whether anyone is watching or not.

Meanwhile, members of FCCLA and FFA are enjoying a quick trip to the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair in Fort Smith—because sometimes learning looks like getting out of the classroom and having a little fun with your people! 🌾🎢

HOCO 2026! That's So Fetch Day at PHS!
🔄🖤💛 Day ONE of Homecoming Week, and we celebrated Freaky Friday…um, Monday! 😂 Students dressed like teachers, and teachers dressed like students!
And WOW, our teachers understood the assignment. 👏
We spotted front AND back backpacks 🎒, sloppy buns, oversized sweatshirts, slides, and plenty of other very authentic teenage fashion choices roaming the halls of PHS today.
These teachers definitely know how to dress like their students—and after spending a day this comfortable, we have to admit it: teenagers just might be on to something… 😂

This past Saturday, the Pottsville High School History Club had the opportunity to bring history to life during Butterfield Day at Potts Inn!
Our students participated in the Living History Program, stepping into the past and sharing historical stories and experiences with visitors throughout the day. We are so proud of the time, effort, and enthusiasm our students put into making this program a success!
A special thank-you to everyone who came out to support our students and celebrate the history of our community. We are grateful for opportunities that allow our students to learn about the past while sharing it with others.
And this is just the beginning! The History Club has several exciting events coming up this fall, including a service project at Pisgah Cemetery, the Potts Inn Haunted House, the historic Santa Claus Robbery reenactment at Citizens Bank, and a trip to Fort Smith.
