And WOW, our teachers understood the assignment. 👏
We spotted front AND back backpacks 🎒, sloppy buns, oversized sweatshirts, slides, and plenty of other very authentic teenage fashion choices roaming the halls of PHS today.
These teachers definitely know how to dress like their students—and after spending a day this comfortable, we have to admit it: teenagers just might be on to something… 😂
One day down, Apaches! Bring on the rest of Homecoming Week! 🖤💛

Our students participated in the Living History Program, stepping into the past and sharing historical stories and experiences with visitors throughout the day. We are so proud of the time, effort, and enthusiasm our students put into making this program a success!
A special thank-you to everyone who came out to support our students and celebrate the history of our community. We are grateful for opportunities that allow our students to learn about the past while sharing it with others.
And this is just the beginning! The History Club has several exciting events coming up this fall, including a service project at Pisgah Cemetery, the Potts Inn Haunted House, the historic Santa Claus Robbery reenactment at Citizens Bank, and a trip to Fort Smith.
We can't wait to see where history takes us next! Follow along with the Pottsville High School History Club as we continue learning, preserving, and bringing our community's history to life.

🖤💛 CAUGHT BEING GOOD!
Mrs. Sorey caught Lacey quietly picking up trash in the hallway—nothing like doing what’s right even when you think no one is watching! 🥹
Good job, Lacey! Small acts make a BIG difference, and you’re a great example of taking care of your school and your Tribe.
We see you, friend! 👏🖤💛

🙏🖤💛 We saw you at the pole!
Shout out to all the Apaches who arrived at school at 7:00 AM to pray together—and then enjoy a great breakfast sponsored by FBC Pottsville! 🥞
Our CSU sponsors, along with supportive faculty and families, loved starting the day alongside these students. There’s something special about seeing our Tribe gather together before the school day even begins!
Thank you to everyone who helped make the morning meaningful (and delicious)! 🖤💛

Here’s a sneak peek at the 2026 PHS Homecoming court! ❤️ What a beautiful group of girls, both inside and out! Join us on October 2 as we honor these Apaches and crown their queen! 👑

PHS Parents, we need your help! Our 1st AR Party of the year is coming up and we need snacks...LOTS of them. Please send your donations of individually wrapped snacks and drinks to Mrs. Adkins in the library. Thank you for all you do for our students!

Our seniors met with a Jostens representative today to talk caps, gowns, and ALL the graduation swag! Seniors have until October 15 to place their orders for the best possible pricing, and merchandise and pricing information are available online.
Do a little quick shopping, Apaches—and then DON’T BLINK! 👀 We still have lots of memories to make, traditions to celebrate, and fun to squeeze into this senior year before we start handing out those diplomas!

Coach Bartlett and Mr. Dean, the new coaches for this AAA sport at PHS, will begin the tryout process in the next few weeks as we get our newest Apache team up and running.
Competition might be fierce, friends. Better get practicing on those Switches, Apaches—and maybe put in a few extra laps on Mario Kart! 🏎️💨🎮
We can’t wait to see where this new adventure takes our Tribe! 🖤💛

One of the most thoughtful Apaches in our tribe is Lexi Davis! 🖤💛 On Friday, Lexi helped organize a chocolate birthday cake for Coach Rust and sent beautiful flowers to Mrs. Vaught in honor of National Teach Ag Day. Her kindness and thoughtfulness are just part of what makes Lexi such a bright light on the PHS campus every day. We’re proud to have her in our tribe! #ourtribestory

⛳🖤💛 It’s DISTRICT time!
Join us in cheering on the PHS golf team as they compete Monday and Tuesday at the district tournament in Glenwood! Jake Geater, Gavin Furrh, Jace Akin, Lucas Schaeffer, Paizlee Hill, Carsyn Hardy, Caeli Gipe, and Serenity Howell have already put together a great season—including a FIRST-PLACE finish by Paizlee earlier this month at Galla Creek! 🏆
Now it’s time for district, and we can’t wait to see what this talented group accomplishes.
Good luck, golfers! Play hard, have fun, and go make some Apache history! ⛳🏆

This talented group of EAST students is creating a large mural outside the EAST classroom—the perfect place to highlight upcoming projects, celebrate successes, and recognize student champions! 🖤💛
We love watching students take an idea from planning to production while leaving their own mark on PHS.
Keep painting, friends! We can’t wait to see the finished product! 🖌️✨

🎺🥁🖤💛 The PHS Marching Apaches have spent the last eight weeks learning the music, setting the drill, and perfecting all the little details that turn notes and steps into a SHOW!
Along the way, the parade of hats has been almost as entertaining as the variety of personalities in this crew. 😂 If you know, you know!
Spending fourth and fifth periods out on the pavement isn’t always glamorous, but this group has found the perfect balance of hard work, great music, plenty of laughter, and simply enjoying time with their people.
Shout out to our fearless band directors and these hardworking students for putting in the hours to create something worth watching—and hearing! We love our Marching Apaches! 🎶
