In our Personal Communication unit on Self-Concept, we finished by writing positive self-talk love letters to ourselves. This activity helped us recognize and appreciate our strengths and qualities.

Pottsville Day for Arkansas Tech University Basketball is March 1st! Teachers and students wear a Pottsville t-shirt and get free adminssion to the basketball games. Personal Communication students learned about growth and fixed mindset this week. Students created posters and presented.


Students in 7th grade Social Studies class honored Holocaust Remembrance Week with a captivating lesson in which they learned about various laws and decrees issued by the Nazi regime which targeted Jews, the elderly, the disabled, etc.

Pottsville Junior High Beta Club members recently competed at Arkansas State Beta Convention in Hot Springs. Lexi Zink placed 1st in state for on-site art, Ziva Evants placed 4th in state for poetry, Owen Killingsworth placed 5th in state for 7th grade computer science, and Jaystin Brigance placed 1st in state for 7th grade health and physical education. We are so proud of our Betas and their hard work!


This week at Pottsville High School, Ms. Nelson's students walked through multiple to steps to create their masterpieces of "action painting," a style of abstract and spontaneous art that is truly beautiful.
