📣 PJH CHEER TRYOUT UPDATE 📣 We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and for the late notice, but junior high cheer tryouts will be postponed until a new cheer coach has been hired. This means the parent meeting today for junior high has been canceled as well as clinics & tryouts this week. When new dates are scheduled you will be notified. We can't wait for the upcoming cheer season & go Apaches! 🖤

Students in 7th grade Social Studies class recently enjoyed learning about the Texas Revolution by participating in a fun skit! Every voluntary actor did a wonderful job! Lots of laughs and learning happening with Mr. Howard and Mrs. Fields!






Pottsville School District is proud to introduce our new Superintendent, Mr. Shane Thurman, effective July 1! 🎉
With 31 years in education, Mr. Thurman brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student success. He began his career teaching social studies for 17 years and has coached basketball, golf, cross country, tennis, baseball, and track. His leadership journey includes 8 years as an assistant principal, 4 years as a principal, and 2 years as an assistant superintendent within Pottsville School District.
We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Thurman to this new role and look forward to his leadership in continuing Pottsville’s tradition of excellence! Join us in congratulating him! 🎉📚🏫

PSD family….Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this great school district the past 24 years. Together we have made a difference in all our students lives. Some students in 7th grade Social Studies class recently presented their European country research projects to their classmates. Students were allowed to work independently or with a partner. They utilized reliable websites in order to learn about the physical geography, government, economy, history, flag, etc. of a country of their choice. Mrs. Fields and Mr. Howard are extremely proud of their students' efforts!








Josie Holland, a first-year EAST student, proudly shared her innovative project on THV 11's The Vine. Her initiative, Reunite Tags, is designed to assist the elderly, showcasing her commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
